Tlvo Sydney -- 'J IfiroW-mjra CUtr resultoftho Commission’s inquiry, in restoring Dean to liberty, will certainly give relief to the public feeling, and will perhaps supply a weighty reminder of the necessity of great caution and thoroughness in investigations by those responsible for the administration of justice, The Daily Telegraph states that the release of Dean rectifies as far as possible one of the most serious mistakes ever made in the administration of justice in the colony. Doan, addressing the committee which had worked hard for his release, declared his innocence, and said he hoped to prove that the confidence shown in him had not been misplaced.
