THE AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. By Telegraph,—Special to Times, Auckland, June 28. There was a decided improvement on the Stock Exchange to-day, as far as Coromandel and Kuaotunu shares were concerned. Lower and Upper Thames stock wore neglected, except in one or two mines. In the former the only sales were Victorias at Is, and in the latter United changed hands at lOd and Wealth of Nations advanced from lid to Is 3d, sales being reported at both figures. The Cromwell Goldmining Company of New Zealand with a capital of £IOO,OOO has been registered. Perth, June 28. Hundreds of men have scoured the vicinity of the reported alluvial find without finding a trace of it. The road is lined with teams bringing back men who are tired of hunting for it. Rich gold has been found in the Pilbarra District. The stone has been obtained at a depth of Bft. The gold penetrates the reef from hangingwall to footwall, aud is also found in large quantities in the casing of the reef. Auckland, June 28. Owing to the representious sent to the Government regarding companies formed with mining leases, a telegram has been received in Auckland from the Minister for Mines to the effect that, while the Warden must see the law is not evaded in case of a purely speculative lease, ho will have discretionary power to grant reasonable protection when satisfied that the ground shall be taken forthwith with the bona fide intention of working it, and that the necessary steps for commencing operations shall bo pushed forward with due despatch.
