By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright• Received June 29. OAO a.m. Sydney, Juno 28. Sir Henry Partes presided at a meeting of the Federal Party this evening, at which a programme was adopted to make Federation the constant and supreme object of political life in the future, and to foster the idea that tho national Government should be invested with solo power to impose Customs duties. Other planks adopted wore :—The promotion of domestic legislation to advance the internal interests of the colony; the abolition of patronage, combined with economy, in the Civil Service, and the prevention of tho influx of inferior races. Au explanatory note added that in tho matter of taxation tho accomplishment of Federation will compel a resort to direct taxation for the purposes of State government to supplement the proportional sums received from the Federal Customsrevenue; but that in the meantime other matters ot more urgency to meet the wants of tho people demand immediate attention. A strong committee was formed, aud it was decided to make Federation a feature of the elections.
