The rules and weights of the Rules of Racing, adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand, will bo strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Races Nos. 1,3, 5, and 7 are confined to qualified hunters only. Owners or riders must produce Masters’ Certificates to the Clerk of the Scales before the horses are weighed out for any of those events. Qualification of a Hunter —A hunter is a horse that lias boon hunted regularly with any recognised pack of hounds, to the satisfaction of the Master, during the season 1895, and the bona fide property of a member of any recognised Hunt Club. Definition of a Maiden Rider—Any member of a recognised Hunt Club, who has never before ridden in a race of any description (hunter races excepted), and who has never won a hunters’ race at the time of starting.
