Mnrtagh’s Portable Starting Machine was used on our Raoecourao at the Autumn Mooting on 10th April, 1895, to the entire satisfaction of the Stewards and the Club’s patrons. We have, therefore, no hesitation in recommending the Machine to other Clubs. One of the starts was made from a walk, and the others from a stand-still, and in all instances the starts made were a long way ahead of the flag. ‘ , , ~ The Club’s official > starter worked tho Machine without a hitoh, and was thoroughly pleased with the results.
