SOUTHLAND.
By Teleyraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, May 21.
The Invercargill South School Committee has resolved to ask the Minister of Education to introduce an amendment to the Education Act, giving committees voting powers in the election of members of the Education Boards in proportion to the average attendance at their schools, and suggesting as a fair basis one vote for each school up to 100 of average attendance, and an additional vote for every 100 exceeding that number.
