By Telegraph.—Press Association. FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT. Auckland, February 2. William Brothers, a railway guard, was fatally injured yesterday while shunting at Eunciman Station, on the Waikato line, and died shortly before the train reached Newmarket. He leaves a wife and three children. He was recently transferred from Napier. MINING NEWS. Grevmouth, February 2. A ton of stone crushed from the Victory mine at Langdon’s, near Greymouth, yielded 20oz of gold. A small specimen from the leader, weighing four pounds, contained 3oz of gold. Competent miners believe the main reef has been struck.
