TREMBLING IN THE BALANCE.
THE NEW SODTH WALES COLLIERY TROUBLE. A GENERAL STRIKE COMING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright. Received January 17, 0.50 a.m. Sydney, January 16. A shift of men in the Seaham mine declined work to-day, and joined the other strikers. It is believed that the Unionists have rejected the delegate board’s resolution, and that each lodge will settle its own difficulty. During a debate on the question, the miners’ officers were accused of betraying the miners in their recent action, and of gross bnngling in their management of the affairs of the Miners’ Association. The Hetton miners were also condemned for hasty action in accepting the terms of the management. It is understood that within the next few days two companies, each working under the same condition as the Hetton colliery, will give notice of their intention jo reduce'the price for hewing to a similar level as is now paid in the Hetton mine.
