MASTERTON.

By Telegraph,—Own Correspondent. Masterton, August 4. The cast of characters for “ The Sorcerer,” which is to be produced here shortly by the Operatic Society, has been arranged. The catalogue for the next show of the Mastertou Agricultural and Pastoral Association was passed at a meeting of the General Committee to-day. Special subscriptions of £5 from Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., and £3 3s from Messrs Levin and Co., of Wellington, were acknowledged. Nine new members were elected.

The monthly meeting of the Maaterton Trust Lands Trustees was held on Friday evening, Mr W. Lowes presiding. The Masterton Museum is now an established institution, and is well worth seeing. A room has been set apart in the Institute for th© display of the exhibits, and, thanks to the energy of Mr E.
