THE OPERA HOUSE.

There was again a good attendance at the Opera House last night, when the sparkling opera bouffe “ Girofle-Girofla ” was produced for the second time this season. Miss Ada Colley made a most bewitching Girofle, and was loudly encored for her singing of “ See How it Sparkles,” which she rendered in a most artistic manner. The character of Marasquin was well pourtrayed by Mr Wm. Walshe, and Mr Edward Parley made a splendid Mourzouk. Mr Fred England deserves special commendation for the capable manner in which he acted the arduous r6le of Bolero, and Miss Cicely Staunton looked and acted well as Pedro. The other characters were well represented, and, taken as whole, the performance was a great advance on that of Tuesday. To-night “ Lucrezia Borgia” will be put on the boards, with Miss Anuis Montague in tho title role. The repertoire for the second week is now announced, and is indeed a veritable treat. Pour operas will bo rendered in the following order : Monday and Wednesday, “ Carmen”; Tuesday and Saturday, “Bohemian Girl”; Thursday, “ Fatinitza”; and Friday, “ Faust.” The plans for circle and reserved stalls are now on view at Holliday’s, and seats can be reserved for any night of the week.
