Public petitions are being prepared in faroar of reprieving Montgomery and Williams, now under sentence of death for a murderous assault on the police. In the case of Martin y. Crick, an application for a writ of casa against the defendant, who pleaded privilege, the Full Court decided that members of Parliament had no mini unity from arrest, and ordered a writ to be issued.
The Hon P. Faucett, Legislative Councillor and an ex-Judge, is dead.'
