THE MINERS' CONGRESS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright, Berlin, May 20.
At tho Miners’ Congress the French and Belguim delegates proposed that an International Committee should be formed to limit tho production of coal. The British delegates laughed at the idea, pointing out that until the mines were nationalised such a committee would be useless.
Ultimately the proposal was withdrawn, and a resolution was passed in its stead in favour of influencing the nation to use legitimate means to prevent over-produc-tion.
