Taino and Co. report of their usual horse sale at their yards to-day There was a fair entry of horses, but buyers were by no means plentiful, and a number were passed unsold. For good young horses suitable for spring dray and express work, buyers ■were present, and up to -£ M- was offered 101 some good sorts, but sellers’ ideas of value were beyond that pnoe. Until the balance of Sydney consignments are cleared off we do not expect the market to improve. Quotations remain at about the same as last •week. On Wednesday wo will offer 20 horses on account of Messrs Hoeken Bros., of Peild3ng, mostly good draughts, EdwardH and Mcßoatli report that there ban been very little alteration in the labour market during the week, domestic servants only being asked for. • The following London market cablegram, dated 18th inst. ,was received to-day by the New Zealand Land Association, Limited irozen Meats—The market is unchanged.
