It is very interesting reading to all old colonists to see by the papers that there hue been a heavy snowfall almost all over New Zealand during the past few days. It reminds them of the happy days in Britain when they were children at school, and how they built snow men and snow castles in the play grounds, and the old reminiscences of picking sides and having a regular snowball battle. Those days are very pleasant to look back on, but at the time it was never thought of how the germs of bronchitis, asthma and consumption were being absorbed into the system. In this Colony, where we get no decided clircalo or a long spoil of fresh, clear winter weather, it is most easy to upset the constitution. It wilt be found that the throat and lungs are the organs most affected, par* ticularly at this season of the year, and few persons, especially children, get through with* out catching cold. Now it is much better to take precaution against this, and having pro* vided yourself with suitable clothing, the next thing is to get hold of a reliable medicine which wifi be thoroughly effective, Marupa Is a vegetable 'remedy for affection of the respiratory organs, and has thoroughly proved itself to be.efficacious. No medicine sold in this Colony has so soon brought itself into general favour, and none can be said.to have conferred greater benefits to sufferers. It is ; worth trying, . and the initial expense is so small that pounds and pounds n.ay be saved by its use'in the early stages of throat and lung affections. It is particularly suitable for children, and is compounded in such a way that it is made pleasant to take. Obtainable everywhere.—Kempthorne, Prosser and Co. o
