Melbourne, August 3. In the case against Millidge and Davies the point has been raised and is now being argued that the presentment by the Grand Jury was invalidated in consequence of an alien being amongst their number.

, The Assembly is debating a motion that in the event of Chief Justice Way assuming the Governorship he shall not receive any additional remuneration. Mr Grainger argued strongly against the suggestion that the Government should appoint Judge Way for a lengthened term after Lord Kintore leaves. The debate stands adjourned.
