The Grand National candidate Despised passed through Wellington yesterday on board the s.e. Takapuna, by which steamer MrS. Powell, tho starter, was a passenger to Lyttelton. Mr G. 6. Stead’s horses fctepmak, Melinite and Ich Dion, and Mr Don O’Hrien’s Loyalty and Launceston left by the s.e. Hauroto yesterday fir Sydney. The departure cf SteoniaU, Loyally aad Launceston effectually knocks ttiooo horses out of the New Zealand LUp betting, id Which they would have taken U prominent position had they remained in New Zealand,
