CONVERSAZIONE AT THE DRILLSHED.

There was a very large attendance at the IJrillshed last night, on the occasion of the .‘social’ in aid of St Mary’s Infant School Fqnd. A short programme of vocal and instrumental tpuaic was first gone through. The chief feature of this vyas a performance on an octave of silver tubular church bells by the Rev Father Patterson, accompanied by Mr S. Cimino’s orchestra. Thin part of the performance was much appreciated, as were also the march and selection of Irish airs played simultaneously on the organ and piano, also by the Rev Father Patterson, who was loudly applauded for his very clever performance. Mr Walter Hay tittle sang ‘The Brave Old Guard' in fine style, and recited ‘The Silver Wedding’ in a manner that called forth ranch applause. Mr E. J. Hill received a unanimous encore for hia excellent singing of that'charming ha'lad, ‘This Eiihch of Qowslips,’ and in reaponse last verse. The* Misaea'Driscull, Gibbs and A.
