PALMERSTON JUNCTION STATION.
TO THU EDITOR. g ]H —The Railway Commissioners direct mo to ask yon to favour them by inserting the following explanation about Palmerston Junction Station : ' The Legislators was responsible for the making of the railway from Woodvllle to Palmerston. The situation of station in Palmerston was selected before the Commissioners were appointed. The lands in Palmerston were purchased by the Minister for Pablio Works, and were handed by him to the Commissioners. Only a reasonable quantity of land was purchased by the Minister, having regard to the future development of Palmerston. The Borough Connell of Palmerston North, In response to a resolution of ratepayers at Palmerston In October last, intimated that
