Thursday Island, April 18. News from Singapore announces the death of Sir Elliot Charles Bovill, Chief Justice, from cholera. [Sir Elliot Charles Bovill was the son of the late William Joha Bovill. Esq., Q.C., by Lavinia Anne, daughter of Edward Anson, Esq., of Burntwood Grange, Wandsworth. He was born in 1844, and married in 1876 Anna, daughter of the Rev J, T. White, D. I)., rector of St Martin's, Ludgato, He was educated at Westminster and at Christ Church, Oxford.
