All protests muet be accompanied with a deposit of £2, which sum is forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. 3. All nominations, entries, and accept* anceo, accompanied by the necessary amount In cash, must be addressed and delivered to the Secretary not later than the advertised time of closing, with performances, pedigree, and colours of the rider. 4. No entry will be received under any pretence whatever after the hour named. 5. Horses walking over will only receive 50 percent of the stakes. 6. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the day of meeting, the amount of added money, to mase any addition or alteration to the meeting at any time prior to the nominations becoming due for such meeting, subject to the approval of the Wellington Racing Club. 7. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake at the date of meeting (hack and hunter races excepted) and that are not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St Leger, or Sapling Stakes at the time of start. Previous performances of the horses, with colours of riders, must be given at time of nomination, also height of ponies. All disputes and objections arising out of the rao'ng ehr 11 be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, whose decision shall be final, and eball not be questioned by any Court of Law. Entries received only on this condition. Nominators must state the bona fide owners of borsce. Five per cent will be dednoted from the gross amount of all stakes.
