By Electric Telegraph.—CoPißidHT. OXFORD DEFEATS CAMBRIDGE, (PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, March 22. Oxford won the University b'rat race. Cambridge led by half a length to Hammersmith Bridge, when Oxford took a slight lead. The Cambridge men, however, were again on terms as the mills were passed, but could not maintain the effort, although at times they made desperate spurts. Oxford won by a length. The weather was favourable for the contest. (Special.) (Received March 23, 7 p.zo.) London; March 22. The time for the University boat race was 19i«in, i>2ie3, which is 31sec slower than the time recorded fdr last year’s contest. (Received March 21, 1 a m.) LONDON, March 23. The official time for the University boat race is given as ISmin 47sec. STANBURY v. TEE HER. New York, March 23, A sculling race between Stanbury and Teemer has been arranged to take place at St Louis on May SOUi.
