The Tavinni arrived from Westport at 10.15 am yesterday. 'She left in the evening for Auckland, via East Coast, The Penguin -arrived from Southern porta at 9.15 am yesterday. She left last night for Nelson. The Rotorua, from Nelson, via Picton, arrived here yesterday morning. She leaves this afternoon for tbo South. OTHER STEAMERS. The Waverley arrived from Waitara at 2.30 yesterday morning. She left lost night for Pstea. . The Government steamer Hinemoa arrived from Southern ports and Nelson and Picton at 10 am yesterday. She goes on the Slip today. ARRIVAL OF THE RIMUTAKA. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ss Rimutaka. from London, yia the usual ports, arrived here at 6 am yesterday. She left Plymouth on Sunday, Bth January, at 4.80 am, arrived at Teneriffe at 735 am on the 13th, and after coaling left again at 8.20 pm same day, and reached Capetown on the 29th January at 11.15 am. Sailed again at 4.30 pm same day, and arrived at Hobart at il.lo am on the 17th Inst; discharged cargo and passengers, coaled, and -proceeded to Wellington at 4.40 pm same day; passed Cape Farewell at 6 pm yesterday, and arrived here as stated.
