Cos as Grafton, which left Nelaon for SVellinston on Tuesday night had to j. ut into Ohau Bay yesterday for shelter. The U.S S. Go's sa Waihl left for Blenheim early yesterday morning, but owing to the heavy sea running outside she was obliged to return to port. She will make another start as soon as the weather moderates.^ The steamers Neptune and Waihi for Blen-, h dm, Charles Edward foe Nelson, Kahu for Ewt Coast, Ohau for Westport, were unable to leave port last night owing to the heavy sea running outside. The U.S.S. Co’s ss Tnkapuna left Onehunga at 10 prn on Monday, New Plymouth at 11.30 pm on Tuesday, and arrived here at 5 pm yesterday. She encountered a strong southerly gale during the passage down. At Bam yesterday she passed the ship Blenheim off. Stephens Island. The Takapuna will leave to-day for New Plymouth and Onehunga.
