Monday, April Utu. (Before Mr H, Eyro Kenny, R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. A female first offender, who failed to answer to her bail, was fined ss, with the alternative of 24 hours' imprisonment. A similar penalty was imposed on Frank Sullivan for being drank and disorderly on Lambton quay at 12,45 Sunday morning. ALLKCIED THEFT PROM THE PERSON. Peter Kamage was charged with stealing £7 from the person of Edward Hoare, of Potone, on Friday night. Oa the appllca* tion of Sergeant Majof Ramsay accused was remanded until to-day. TUEPT OF OVERCOATS. George Mitohell was charged with steal* log an overcoat and a waterproof, belonging respectively to Henry Childs and Norman Young, as stated in yesterday’s issue. Accused, who has just completed a sen* tenoo of seven days’ imprisonment for larceny, was sentenced to two months* hard labour for each offence, the terms to be concurrent. CIVIL BUSINESS. On the civil side judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended cases : —W. G, Tnstin v. Geo. J, Harford, £5 7s sd, costs £1 12s; Potter and Co. v. Hanse Hansen, £l3 16s Bd, costa £3 13s; Wilkins and Field v. W, W. Moeller, £l2 10s, costs £2 2s; A. W. Cook v. Thos. Kssery, £3 6s, costa 6s; A. H. Cook v. W, N. Jacobs, £5 6s, costs £1 lls; T. Redwood v. W. N. Jacobs, £3, costs 6s; Louis Dean v. Henry MoLoughlin, 18s sd, costs Cs; Wellington Loan Company v, G. W. Ewart, £ls Bs, costs £1 ss. Defended oases:-John James Dudgeon, provision merchant. Manners street, Wellington v. Jas. Hamilton, carter, and Hector Sutherland, cab proprietor, both of Hawkestone street, Wellington, claim of £25 17s 5d for chaff, Ac., supplied. Mr Beere appeared for plaintiff and Mr Gray and Mr Coutts for Hamilton and Sutherland respectively. His Worship nonsuited the plaintiff with £■£ 2s coats to each defendant. George And rsoo, clerk, Wellington, v. W. Curtis, claim of £9 13s 9J for rent and gas fittings. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £6 8s paid into court, and a nonsuit was entered with regard to the remainder, each party to pay their own costs. Mr Gray appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Treadwell for defendant.
