The meeting of the junior members of the Selwyn Club which waa to have been held at the Royal hotel last night lapsed for want of a quorum. The Secretary of the Council of the Association Cluba in Wellington received a letter from the Canterbury Association yesterday stating that the Southern representatives are likely to play Wellington in June, The Senior matches played in Ghrist* church on Saturday resulted as follows Merivale defeated Linwood (lait year’s winners of the Junior Flag) by 4 points to 3. Garrard and Joo Horner scored trios for Merivale, Garrard converting Horner’s. Orr touched down for Linwood, and Stapleton converted, Canterbury College defeated Addington by 6 goals and 11 tries (29 points) to nil. Hast Christchurch, who recently drew with tho Ponekea, defeated Christchurch by 1 goal and 3 tries (6 points) to a try.
