For horses that have □ever been nominated or started in any race except Farmers’ Race, and must not be entered for any other race at this meeting. Forced Handicap, of 10 sovs. Once round the course. RULES AND REGULATIONS, All races will be run under the Rules of Racing. A hack horse eligible to run attbla meeting will be as follows : —A book is a horse that has never been nominated, entered, or started for any raoe except back races. No entry will be received for any race except upon condition that all claims, disputes and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint, and their decision on all points shall be final. I ..... All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 2 sovs, whioh sum may be forfeited to tbs funds if the protest is considered frivolous. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c , to be accompanied by the necessary amount iu cash, name, age, colour, pedigree, and performances of horse, also colours to be worn by the rider, and must be addressed to the Secretary, Porirua Hotel, not later than 9 p.m. on the advertised date of oloeiog. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross amount of the stakes. Horsss walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. All persona intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one-half hour before tho official time for starting such race. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 sovs, to the Race Fund. BALD HEADS.—A correspondent writes: —"I am indebted to your advertising columns for relief from a personal infirmity. If yon have confidence in what I say kindly make this an item of news rather than a letter, because I fancy people will value the information moro highly. lam over fifty years of age,- and for the past ten years my hair has been getting thinner and thinner, so that hair was left only just above my ears, and tbs remainder of the head was qnite bald. 1 disliked this deficiency, bat bad of course to submit, About three months or leas ago X read the advertisement in your columns about * Hickman’s Hair Producer ’; I then read the testimonials, and finally, although sceptical of results, 1 bought faalf-a-dozen battles of the specific. Number one produced no result except an opinion from my wife that * that stuff has a pleasant smell.’ I persevered with it, however, and as the second bottle was nearly completed the good lady aforesaid exclaimed—‘Why, there is a lot of little black hairs coming; thore mast be some virtue in that stuff after all,’ lam well into the f ourth bottle, but whereas 1 was bald now my head is covered with hair about three.fourths of an inch in length.
