AtMeairs Freeman R. Jackson and Co.’s sale at Palmerston Norsh on Thursday there was a large entry of stock, and with a good attendance prices showed a distinctly upward tendency. Two ta 2J-year-old steers brought £2 7s to £2 10s ; 18-moutha-old steers, £1 10s ; fat ewes, 7s£d to 8s 7d ; store wethers, 9a; ewes in lamb, 6s to 7s; woolly lambs, 4s Gd to 5s 3d ; shorn lambs, 2s 6d to ss. Mr Baker’s stnd of thoroughbred mares were offered, but failed to command reserves. Draught horses realised £l4 to £lslos.
