The rules of the Club are the rules of the Wellington Racing Club as far as applicable, and all races to be ran under the rales of racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Club, and the rules and general conditions as follows: — 1. All events close not later than 10 p.m. on the advertised date of nominations, and no nominations or acceptances will be rsceived under any pretence whatever unless accompanied by the necessary amounts. 2. The Wellington Racing Club rules will be strictly adhered to. 3. All races at this meeting will be confined to hacks only. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race (Flat, Hurdle, or Steeplechase), or started in one since Ist-June, 1889 ; Hack Races and Trotting Races excepted, and that are not nominated for Handicaps, Derbys, St Legers, Champagnes, or Guineas. 4. Weightfor-age shall mean where the weight-for-age scale has been carried. 5. All horses to be ridden in distinguishing colours. Owners are particularly re- ! quested to send their colours when nomi- ' nating. 6. No entry will be received for any race except under the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 7. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. S.
