Local Handicap, of £IQ. Nomination, 5a ; acceptance, sa. Open to horses the bona fide property of residents in the Hutt County three months previous to race. One mile and a distance. 2. Hurdle Handicap, £25; second horse to receive £5 from the stakes. Nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 10a. One mile and a half. 3. Hutt Handicap, £3O; second horse to receive £5 from the stakes. Nomination, £1 ; acceptance, 10s. One mile and a quarter. 4. Maiden Plate, £lO. Entrance, 10s, For all horses that have never won a race up to time of nomination. Winner of any race after date of nomination up to £lO to carry 71b penalty, oyer £lO to carry 141 b penalty. 5. Flying Handicap, £ls. Nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 6s. Three-quarters of a mile. Winner of Hutt Handicap to carry 101 b penalty. 6. Farmers’ Race, £10; second horse, £3 ; third hirse £2 out of the stakes. Nomination, ss, Weight, 12st 71b. For horses that have never won a race of any description, the bonA fide property of residents in the Hutt County three months previous to the race. The winner of the Hutt Handicap to carry 71b penalty. 8. Scurry Stakes Handicap, £lO. Entries to be made directly after the Welter. Entrance, 10s. Half a mile. Date of Nominations, &o.—Saturday, 12th April, nominations for all handicaps excepting the Scurry Stakes. Wednesday, 16th, weights declared for all handicaps. Tuesday, 22nd April, acceptances for all handicaps, and entries for Maiden and Farmers’. RULES ANDCONDITIONS. The rules of the Club are the rules of the Wellington Racing Club as far as applicable, and all races to be run under the rules of racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Club, and the rules and general conditions as follows : 1. All events close not later than 10 p.m. on the advertised date of nominations, and no nominations or acceptances will be rsceived under any pretence whatever unless accompanied by the necessary amounts, 2. The Wellingtqn Racing Club rules will be strictly adhered to, 3. All races at this meeting will be confined to hacks only. Hacks Shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race (Flat, Hurdle, or Steeplechase), or started in one since Ist June, 1889 ; Hack Races and Trotting Races excepted, and that are not nominated - for Handicaps, Derbya, St Legers, Champagnes, or Guineas. 4; Weight-for-age shall mean where the weight-for-age scale has been carried. 5. All horses to be ridden in distinguish? ing colours. Owners are particularly requested to send their colours when nominating. 6. No entry will be received for any race 1 except under the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the races shall bo decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 7. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. 8. Any protest must bo lodged in writing within ten minutes after the race to which it refers, accompanied by 2 sovs, which will be returned in the event of the protest being upheld by the Stewards. 9. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to the Secretary one hour before starting. Any person refusing to comply with such rule will bo fined 2 sovs. 10.
