THE MINISTERIAL TRIP.

■ ■ ' '»■■■■ ■ ■ ■■■■■■■ (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wanganui, April M. The Ministerial party were expected here at 9 o’clock this morning, to meet the express train to Wellington to travel down with Mr E. Mitohelson. Dr Newman faded to arrive, the expected reason of his delay being the difficulty of getting canoes enough, the party being large. When the party went through Taumaranui the difficulty cropped up, but it was expected to be overcome by sending further up the river for other canoes. The pleasure of the trip was greatly marred by the steady rain—sitting iu a wet canoe not being cheerful. Luckily the party got the horseback journey over, as the weather being very wet the roads will be very sticky. The riding-horses and the packs are returning along the North Island main trunk route to Hnnterville.
