Nomination, 5s ; acceptance, ss. Open to horses the bona, fide property of residents in the Hutt County three months previous to race. One mile and a distance. 2. Hurdle Handicap, £25; second horse to receive £5 from the stakes. Nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 10s. One mile and a half. 3. Hutt Handicap, £3O; second horse to receive £6 from the stakes. Nomination, £1 ; acceptance, 10s. One mile and a quarter. 4. MaideeTPlate, £l A . Entrance, 10s. For all horses that have never won a race up to time of nomination. Date of Nominations, &o.—Saturday, 12th April, nominations for all handicaps excepting the Scurry Stakes. Wednesday, Ifith, weights declared for all handicaps. Tuesday, 22nd April, acceptances for all handicaps, and entries for Maiden and Farmers’. RULES AND CONDITIONS. The rules of the Club are the rules of the Wellington Racing Club as far as applicable, and all races to be run under the rules of racing as adopted, by the Metropolitan Club, and the rules and general conditions as follows 1. All events close not later than 10 p.m. on the advertised date of nominations, and no nominations or acceptances will be received under any pretence whatever unless accompanied by the necessary amount?. 2. The Wellington Racing Club rules will be strictly adhered to. 3. All races at this meeting will be confined to hacks only. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race (Flat, Hurdle, or Steeplechase), or started in one since Ist June, 1889 ; Hack Races and Trotting Races excepted, and that are not nominated for Handicaps, Derbys, St Legers, Champagnes, or Guineas. 4. Weight for-age shall mean where the weight-for-age scale has been carried. 5. All horses to bo ridden in distinguishing colours. Owners are particularly requested to send t their colours when nominating. 6. No entry will be received for any race except under the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 7. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. 8. Any prote-t must be lodged in writing within ten minutes after the race to which it refers, accompanied by 2 sovs, which will be returned in the event of the protest being upheld by the Stewards. 9. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to the Secretary one hour bsfore starting. Any person refusing to comply with such rule will be fined 2 sovs. 10.
