This morning Mentor and Enfilade did a mile and a half on the tan in 2min 52sec, neither of them going particularly well. Australian Peer went once round the sand track in 2min 32 J sec. Theorist and Touch, stone covered a mile and a half in 2min 52£sec. Carlyon and. Aberoorn did a mile in company, their time being taken at Imin SOseo. Beryl aud Firelock went round the sand track in 2min 37seo. Aldivallooh did a wretched gallop. Necklet and Poet put in a rattling five-farloug spin on the sand in Imin s|aeo. Christchurch, November 1.
Cutta was out first this morning, and sent St Clair twice round on the new plonsb. Chudleigh and Maligner each went' once round sharply, whilst British Dion was given nearlv a top-speed gallon over two miles, being’ brought homo by Thatohpeg over the last mile and a quarter. Sultan negotiated two circuits, going a mile at top. Manton and Dudu,went two miles, finishing strong, and Strenuous aud Moss Rose covered a similar distance fast, while Adulation went twice round at half speed. Merrie England and the Charity colt travelled four fourlougs at a good pace. After having been cantered, Exchange went twice round on the old plough steadily, and Chainshot covered a mile and a half at a good pace, as did also Son-of-a-Gun in a neck sweater. Mikado did two rounds steadily, as did also Ruby, Enchanter and Enchantress, while Escapade went a striding gallop once round.
