The U.S.S. Co.’a as Rotorua left Melbourne at 2.20 pm, and cleared Port Phillip Heads at 6.30 pm on the 24th ult., passed Farewell Spit at 6 pm on the 29th, and arrived at Nelson at 10 pm the same evening ; sailed thence at 4 pm on the 31st, called at Pioton, and arrived at 5.40 yesterday morning. Sho experienced light variable winds, with fine weather throughout the trip. She sailed yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton. The ss Taiyuan should reach here from Hong Kong and Foochow, via Auckland, this afternoon. After discharging 700 tons of cargo here she leaves for Lyttelton and Dunedin about Monday, She returns direct from the latter port, and sails finally for Hong Kong from here about the 14th prox. The barque Clalrmont left the Queen’s Wharf last evening and was towed into the stream by the Mana. She will be towed across to Picton (where she loads wool for London) by the first Union Co’s steamer leaving for that port, probably the Wareatea, leaving to-morrow. The ketch Kestrel, from Kaiapoi, arrived here late on Wednesday night, and anchored in the stream, A westerly squall struck her when she was off Gore bay, carrying away her jibootn. The ss Oreti arrived early yesterday morning from Port Chalmers, where she was overhauled. She sailed yesterday afternoon for Wanganui and Westport. MOVEMENTS OF STEAMERS. UNION CO.'S STEAMERS. The Arawata, from Fiji and Auckland, is due here to-day, also the Wareatea and Ohau from Westport, the Eotomahana from Melbourne, via Southern porta and Hobart, and the Waihi from Blenheim. The Kanieri sai s for Blenheim to-day, also the Eotomahana for East Coast and Auckland. LEVIN AND CO.'S STEAMERS. The Wakatu leaves to-day for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, and the Napier for Foxton, The Glenelg leaves Wanganui to-day for Wellington, and will leave to-morrow for Wanganui, Opunake, New Plymouth, Waitara, and Onehunga. TURNBULL AND CO.’S STEAMERS. The Waverley is expected to leave Patea this morning for Wellington. The Huia is due here from Wanganui this morning. T. AND O. CO.’S STEAMERS. The Britannia leaves Sydney on the 12th November, and Melbourne on the 16th for London. She connects at Melbonrne by the Walrarapa, leaving Wellington on the sth November. The Ballaarat leaves Sydney on the 26th November and Melbourne on tho 30th. She connects at Sydney by the Waihora, leaving on the 18th inst., and at Melbonrne by the Te Anau, leaving on tho 19th November. The Victoria leaves Sydney on the 10th December and Melbourne on the 14tfa. She connects at the former port by the Wakatipu, leaving here on the 27th November, and at Melbourne by the Manaponri, leaving on the 3rd December. ORIENT LINE, The R.M.S. Iberia, 4702 tons, leaves Sydney November 17tb, and Melbourne November 23rd. The connecting steamer at Melbourne will be the Eotomahana, leaving here 12th inst. TheR.M.S. Ormuz leave* Sydney December Ist, and Melbourne December 7th, THE E.M.S. TONGARIEO. The R.M.S. Topgariro sailed from the Queen’s Wharf for London, via way ports, with commendable punctuality at her appointed time yesterday afternoon, her lines being cast off promptly at 2 pm. She took 24,677 carcases frozen mntton, 1254 pieces meat, 540 kega butter, and 4 boxes containing 20,000 sovereigns. The vessel is in first-rate trim, and is expected to make a good passage.
