She returned last evening. The U.S.S. Co.’s ss Takapuna left Dunedin on the 29tb, and Lyttelton at 9.15 pm on the 30th, exjjerienced fresh N. W. winds throughout, and arrived here at 12.30 pm yesterday. She sails to day for Picton and Nelson.

The U.S.S. Co.’s ss Penguin left Nelson at 4 pm on the 30tb, and reached here, via Picton, at 8.30 pm yesterday. She sailed yesterday afternoon for Southern ports. The ss Taiyuan left Auckland yesterday •morning for Wellington direct, and may be expected here to-morrow morning. The ship Lady Jocelyn sailed for London yesterday morning.

MOVEMENTS OF STEAMERS.

T7NXON CO.’S STEAMERS,

The Rotorua is due here to-day from Melbourne, via Nelson and Pioton ; also, the Oreti from South. The Arawata, from Fiji and Auckland, Taupo from West Coast, and Kotomahana from Melbourne, via South, are duo here to-morrow. The Takapnna sails to-day for Picton and Nelson; also, the Oreti for Wanganui and Westport, the Rotorua for Lyttelton, and Kanieri for * Blenheim. TURNBULL AND CO.’S STEAMERS. The Huia is due here this evening from Wanganui. The Charles Edward left Nelson yesterday for West Coast. The Murray and Kenndy are on the West Coast. LEVIN AND CO.'S STEAMERS.

The Neptune leaves to-day for Blenheim and the Napier for Foxton. The Wakatu loaves Kaikoura to-day for Wellington. The Glenelg leaves Wanganui to-morrow for Wellington. r. AND O. OO.’S STEAMERS, The Britannia leaves Sydney on the 12th November, and Melbourne on the 16th for liondon. She connects at Melbourne by the Wairarapa, leaving Wellington on the sfch November. ORIENT LINE. The R.M.S. Iberia, 4702 tons, leaves Sydney November 17th, and Melbourne November 23rd. The connecting steamer at Melbourne will be the Rotomahana, leaving here 12th inst. Theß-M.S.
