Willis-streot, Wellington, 10th October, 1887. TO ALL THOSE SUFFERING FROM AILMENTS. —I would like to give them an instance of Dr Speer’s wonderful remedies. About two months ago my leg was accidentally burnt just above the ankle. The person who burnt it told me to use carbolic ointment, which I applied for four days. Then I went to a doctor, who ordered salad oil, mixed with lime-water. I used one bottle: the burn became more painful, and seemed as though it was gathering. I then put on oatmeal poultices for one day and a night, which made it feel much easier. The next day the doctor told me to use bread instead of the oatmeal, which I persevered in for four days, when I found it was just as inflamed as ever. Now, to study expense, my husband went to a chemist, who sent me a box of the best cooling ointment he had. I used three boxes altogether, but still I could not use the foot. An experienced old lady recommended an ointment called the “ Poor Man s Friend,” a pot of which I used, but saw very little improvement. As a last resource, 1 was determined to try Dr Speer, who gave me one box of Ointment, and in four days all the pain had gone, and in another four I could walk as well as ever, after being five weeks in the house trying to heal such a simple ailment. I thick great credit is due to Dr S. for prescribing the proper remedy. MRS E. MAYR. Wainui-o-mata. November 3, 1837. DEAR SIR, —I have been suffering from asthma tor about fifteen years, and on your late visit to Wellington I applied to you for relief. I was then very bad, and unable to sleep at nights, but soon after I commenced your treatment I felt an improve, ment, and I have ever since been getting better regularly. lam now very nearly well, and fully believe that in a short time I will be quite recovered. My medicines were always sent me with the greatest regularity whenever I required them. Robert Dick.
