Joplin.— On 19th October, at Stamford, Lincolnshire, Alice Maria, wife of C. R. Joplin, late of Petone, and eldest daughter of C. J. A, Haselden, of Wellington, aged 24 years, Cochrane. -On Sunday, 4th December, 1887, at his residence, Fraser’s Lane, Thorndon, Captain William Cochrane, aged 47 years. Barton. —At Hawera, on the 22nd December, Henry L’Estrauge Barton, only child of Elliott and Rachel Barton, aged 5 years, Thompson.— On the 26th instant, at Sydenham House, Dixon-atveet, W. H. Thompson, after a very painful illness, aged 46 years.
