(beciee’s telegrams.) (Received July 6,1.15 a.m.) London, July 3. Three per cent. Consols, 9S£. New Zealand quotations remain at previous quotations. Colonial breadstuffs are unaltered. July 4. Tenders are invited on behalf of the Napier Harbor Board for a loan of £300,000 at 5 per cent, the minimum for which has been fixed at par. The tenders will close on July 13. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,370,000 quarters, a decrease of 30,000 during the week. New Zealand mutton has declined to 5d to sid perlh. W 001.—9800 bales were submitted at auction to-day. The tone of the market was steady, but the demand was not active.
The New Zealand mails, dated Auckland, May 26th, via San Francisco, were delivered here yesterday. It is announced that Sir Peter Lumsden, British representative on the Afghan Frontier Delimitation Commission, has had the Grand Cross of the Bath conferred upon him. The Guards, who have been at Alexandra for some weeks past, have now left that place and have proceeded to Limasol in Cyprus. Madrid, July 4. The cholera seourge continues to rage with great- violence. The number of cases reported throughout the country this week is 9000, of which 4000 had a fatal termination.
