MESSRS T. KENNEDY MACDONALD AND CO'S. PROPERTY SALE LAST FRIDAY. The large and convenient land auction room •f Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co. was crowded last Friday afternoon, when a long catalogue of city and country properties were submitted. Most of the lots were vigorously competed for, and realised satisfactory prices. The property on Lambton-quay, opposite the Bank of New Zealand, was started ut LSO per foot and ran up rapidly to LSO per foot by bids of L 5 per foot. From that price it rose quickly' by bids of LI per foot till it readied L9l per foot, at which price, amidst considerable upSlause, it was knocked down to Mr F, W. ioss (acting for himself) and Messrs Hyde and Lankshear, the present tenants.
