Alexander Forsyth Anderson came up once more charged with having embezzled moneys the property of the Brownlow Workhouse, near Liverpool. Eliza Sallows, a good-looking girl of about 18 years of age, pleaded not guilty to stealing sonye underclothing and other articles valued at 6s, the property of Mrs |a whflse service the prisoner had been employed for a week. The prosecutrix stated that on th« previous day the prisoner dressed herself, and then announced her intention of leaving her employ forthwith, Mm Gql'-dford observed that the accused wore a jacket underneath her ulster belonging to witness, and the latter then accused her of having stolen a chemise which she had missed. Ths girl then took off the article iu question. As accused had not taken Ifte property out of her mistress’ house, the Bench discharged her with a severe reprimand.
