FOOTBALL.
The following fifteen has been selected to represent the Athletic Football Club in the Cup match with the Wellington Club to-mor-row :—Messrs Elazell, Bolton, Brown, Camp, bell, Cooper, Davy, Dumbell, King, McGowan, Pauling, Pearce, Smith, Thomson, Williams, and Wilson; emergencies—Cox, Good. The Union second aud Poneke third fifteens will play a return match at Newtown Park to-morrow. The Union team will be as follows ;—Armstrong, Beale, Balcombe, W. Dixon, Bpuni, France, Hill, Leslie, J, Mclntyre, Mann, Mouulier, Prince, Rabe, H. Smith, Urwiu ; emergencies O’Shea, B. Smith, Hare. Play will commence at 2,15 sharp. The Diamond Football Club, will, on Saturday, place the following two fifteens on the field. The first, against the United’s, will be represented by Allan, Barnett, Barron (2), Blackluck, Curtis, Eton, Dillon (2), C. Pownall, Parsons, Pearce, Turnbull (2), and Upbam ; emergencies—W. Halee and I. Pownall. The second, against the Thorndon Classical School, in Taylor’s paddock, represented by K, Allan, S. Allen, Bannister, Barnett (2), Bolton, Johnston, Halse (2), Pownall (2), H. Uphaur, J. Young, J. Owen, and Heywood ; emergencies—F. Brown aud H, Holmes.
