CATASTROPHES IN AUCKLAND.
(UNITED EBE33 ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, July 16.
A fire broke out last night in farm buildings belonging to John Phillips, at Paeroa, near Helensville, and they, as well as the stock and valuable implements, were destroyed. The horses, however, were saved. The insurances are—Farm buildings, £3OO, in the New Zealand ; agricultural implements and farm produce, £3OOO, in the Union; and horres, £7OO, in the Union. Michael McNarcee, while working in Oautram’s firewood yard, accidentally fell on the circular saw. One arm was cut off, and the other nearly severed. He died after amputation of the injured arm at the hospital.
