DESERTION. —J"hn Ruche, a seam in on board the British King, admitted having deserted from that vea-sel, and was remanded to Ljttelton. Civil Business. J. Flaherty v. M. Mahoney (judgment summons), £l3, Evidenc * was produced that defendant had been earning £3 P Br Week as a compositor. It was, however, shown for the defence that he was out of employment, aid unable to pay. At tlie request of Mr Gu ly, who appeared for the plaintiff, the case was adjourned for one month.
