CARBINE COMPETITION.
In the competition among members of the Naval Volunteers for Lieutenant Hisiop’s firstclass cup on Thursday (No. 2) and other prizes, the highest eight among the scorers were :
The conditions were five shots at each range, but owing to the continual rain prevailing, the competitors fired at some disadvantage, and no large scores were made. To-day the other cup, presented by Lieutenant Histop, and also the trophy, presented by Messrs France and Dixoo, will be fired for at the sane range in Polhilt’s Gully.
