Major Kemp has addressed the following letter to the “ Herald ” :—“ Friend, —At a meeting of the council held at Ranana on the "39th ultimo, it wan resolved that, should any person connected with the Murimotu Company, ■whether it be their half-caste interpreters, who ■understand both languages, or those deceitful persons concerned in Murimotu, or the lawyer* acting on behalf of the Government and others -connected therewith, persist to come within our boundaries of Wanganui , and Murimotu they will be violently turned back.
