The tone of to-day’s wool auction was steady, but the demand was not active. The catalogue consisted of 11,100 bales. Per Merchant Shipping and Underwriters’ Association :—Arrived—Brodick Bay, from Lyttelton (23rd May); Pareoia, from Auckland (30th May); Closeburn, from Lyttelton (12th June); Arabella, from Bluff (21st June); Garelooh, from Lyttelton (Ist June).
