RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27.
(Before Mi W. Marten, J.P.) X)BCJ7C£SK£SB. —A man who appeared before -the Court for the first time was fined ss, with ■the alternative of twelve hours’ imprisonment, dor drunkenness.
(Before Mr H. S. Wardell, R.M.) Civil Case. —J. Thompson v. the Captain and Owners of the p.s. Samson. This was an .action to recover £IOO for damages sustained by the plaintiff at the time of the wreck of the Samson at the month of the Waitara River. Mr Morrah appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Cntten for the defendants. The evidence will .be forwarded to New Plymouth, where the case will be decided.
