FRIGHTFUL MACHINE ACCIDENT.
(united press association.) Auckland, September 26. A young man, named James Garrick, met with a severe accident at Reid and Grey’s foundry to-day. He was putting a belt on a pully, when his wrist was caught, and he was dragged round the shaft. When extricated it was found his right arm and leg were broke.. Subsequently at the Hospital his right leg was amputated.
