COLLISION AT SEA—TWO STEAMERS SUNK. £IOOO MATCH BETWEEN HANLAN AND BOYD. HANLAN VICTORIOUS. London, April 3. Telegrams are to hand reporting-othat the steamers Yrurao Bat, 1558 tons, of Bilbao, and the Douro came Into collision off the west coast of Spain, in the neighborhood of Cape Finialerre. Both vessels foundered. Thirty-five of the passengers and crew of the Douro were saved, and 67 of those on board the Yrurao Bat.

The sculling match between Hanlan and Boyd, for £IOOO, was rowed on the Tyne to-day, and resulted in a victory for the Canadian by four lengths. The contest is described as having been a hollow race, Hanlan winning without difficulty. Further telegrams are to hand regarding the collision of the steamships Douro and Yrurae Bat off the Spanish coast. It is now stated that 120 lives were saved from the Douro alone, but that the captain and officers perished. Both vessels had a large number of passengers on board, but the total loss of life has not yet been ascertained, The charges of defrauding a moneylender, which were preferred against the Marquis of Huntley, for whose apprehension a warrant was issued in January last, have been withdrawn.

Information has been received to-day from Ireland to the effect that a Westmeath landlord, named Smythe, fired at and killed Mistress Smythe, a relative.
