Matson and Co.’s market report for the last week shows the' following prices realised for leading lines Sheep.—Crossbreds, 13s to 14s ; good crossbred wethers, 12s fid,- 11s fid to 12s fid general run; merinos, good, 9a Sd to 9s fid ; stores, two-tooth crossbred ewes, 10s 3d; fall mouth and aged ditto, 7s to 8s fid ; aged merinos, 4s fid to Os ; fit sheep, equal to 2d per Fat cattle may bo said to have been completely overdone, though the quality in most cases was very prime. Those sent to hand by Mr W. Binding.were, as visual, especially good, and brought an average of about L 8 per head—a price which must be looked upon as anything but representative of their Value. The same

may bo said of all lots submitted, prices being absurdly low, and many lots tamed ut unsold. Prices may be quoted as still lower for all classes of store “SIS. The entries daring the week were cleared as under, prices still continuing much below last month s rates ;-8 at 255, 15 at 235, 12 at 9s, 9 at Bs. 9 at 21s, 14 at 235, 9 at 265, 14 at 30s, 23 at 16s, 21 at 10s, 17 at 17s. 21 at 20s Cd, 18 at 19s. 7 at 20s, 18 at 21s, 6 at 80s. 9 at 9s 6d, Ac. ... Horses.—With the prospect of coming wmter, the scarcity of autumn feed, and the high prices that will undoubtedly have to be paid for hay and oats, those who have horse stock to dispose of will have to submit to the present low rates for at least three or four months to come. Good sound useful hacks are worth Ll 7 to L 25: ordinary ditto, LlO to Ll2 : spring oart horses, Ll 5 to L 25, according to tamp and age.
