AN UNCIVILIZED THREAT. London, November 30. There are no changes to report in the money market or in New Zealand securities. Australian breadstuff's and tallow are unchanged. At the wool sales a good demand continues. To-day’s catalogue comprised 8900 bales.
The “Daily News ” to-day publishes a telegram from Constantinople, stating that, in consequence of the difficulty which has arisen with the Greek Government, the Porte now threatens to order the closing of all the European post offices in Constantinople. An official statement is published to the effect that, prior to his execution, Lefroy, the Brighton murderer, withdrew his confession that he had murdered Lieutenant Roper at Chatham.
